The Challenge: A major device manufacturer was at risk of shutting down a manufacturing line on a mature product due to the discontinuation of formed tube component by a supplier. A new supplier was not executing to the customer requirements and safety stock was running out.

The Avicenna Solution: We offered to form and laser mark the component tubing. Further, we committed to adopting forming technology while installing and qualifying customer consigned equipment. We validated the manufacturing process and produced the required formed tube component. Our cross-functional project team transferred and adopted the technology from the customer within two months, eliminating the risk of a line shutdown.

The Customer Gain: Our customer experienced no interruption in component supply and no product line downtime. We now form and laser mark the component as needed in real time. This customer no longer needs to manage and pay for batches of formed but unmarked inventory.
